Appraisal districts

The CADs: they determine value and own parcels, exemptions and agent designations. They set no rates and collect no money.

What a CAD is for

For the client's workflow, the CAD matters for two things: parcel data (values, exemptions) and agent designations (Form 50-162 is filed with the CAD, uniform statewide). Billing and payment go to the collector, not the CAD — see Collectors.
